Amber & Andrews Wedding at Cecil Green Park House in Vancouver, BC.
This couple met while studying at the University of British Columbia, so it was only fitting that they wanted to get married there since it holds a special part in their journey together. This day called for rain! Which the couple was prepared for and the venue Cecil Green Park House is fixed up with a beautiful clear tent over the reception area that creates the most cozy atmosphere for the rain to fall down on. When a wedding day calls for rain, I always come prepared with clear umbrellas to keep the bride and groom dry during their portrait session. They keep the focus on the beautiful couple and add a simple prop to the photos that always turns out great. For their first look, Amber took the opportunity to surprise Andrew with a gift of a memory of a friend that is no longer with us. Then the mom of the bride did a beautiful Sage Smudging session which brought up all the feelings, creating a space of new cleansing energy. They held their Grandparents, and parents close as they shared this special moment together.
Though there was a limitation on capacity due to restrictions, it didn’t hold them back from being able to celebrate their love and dancing the night away! If you’re interested in doing an intimate wedding with family and friends, I would love to chat with you!
